When one devotes oneself to something, then we will be led and guided to our inclinations and dispositions.(The German title "Neigung" means inclination on the one hand and leaning - of the body for example - on the other hand. I couldn't come up with an English word, which has both of these meanings)

Wörtlich gesehen hat die Figur dieses eiförmige Gebilde tatsächlich auf dem Kopf gestellt. Im übertragenen Sinne könnte man sich viele Gedanken machen - je nach eigener Lebenssituation.

It's impossible to translate the German title. Literally it means to put or place something on top of ones head. But idiomatically it means "topsyturvy". Figuratively one could contemplate about this matter - depending on one's own momentary situation in life.(I hope this makes sense in English.)

Nr. 25-1 Beutel 2010 Acryl, Bleistift, Faserstift
Dieses Tagesbild hat viele Veränderungen durchlaufen. Zunächst war die Figur komplett schwarz und sah wie ein Scherenschnitt aus. Auf dieser Art habe ich schon oft meine Figuren dargestellt. Aber hier passte es nicht. Die zweite Figur (ein Mann?) ist rechts im Bild: zumindest mit Fuß und Hand. Erst zum Schluß kam der Beutel. Mal sehen wie sich diese Geschichte weiterentwickelt.

This daily painting went through a lot of changes. At first the figure was completely black and looked like a cut-out silhouette. I have often done figures in this way in the past. But here it just didn't fit. The second figure (a man?) is at the right side of the painting: at least with a foot and hand. The bag was the last detail, which was added at the very end. Let's see how this story developes.

Sie ist wieder da - die zweite Figur: ein Mann. Die rechte Figur im Halbyogasitz ist in sich ruhend und doch für eine Interaktion offen.
Es könnte sein, dass ich mit diesem oder dem nächsten Bild mit dieser Serie vorerst aufhöre. Dann fange ich etwas Neues an. Kann mir aber vorstellen, dass ich diese Serie später wieder aufgreife. Am Wochenende werde ich mir blog-frei nehmen (möchte u.a. natürlich unseren Jungs in Afrika die Daumen drücken) und Anfang nächster Woche wieder mit den Tagesbildern loslegen.

The figure is back - the second one: a man. The figure on the right in a half-yoga-sitting-position is centered and yet open for interaction.
It could be that I will finish this series with this daily painting or the next one. Then I will beginn something new. I believe, I might reinitiate this series after a certain amount of time. This weekend I will give myself "blog-off" ( of course I want to watch our soccer team in Africa play - and win - on Saturday) and at the beginning of next week I will continue my dailys.
